Product‑Specific Privacy Notice (UGC, Microphone, Media)

Effective date: October 2, 2025

This Notice supplements the Optifun — Universal Privacy Policy and applies to DareTribe features involving user‑generated content (UGC), microphone access, photo/video sharing, social pages, and contests. If there is a conflict, this Notice controls for DareTribe features.

TL;DR (Quick Summary)

DareTribe lets you record voice messages (microphone) and share media you explicitly choose to upload. Public UGC may be visible to others. We collect necessary technical data (IP, device/advertising identifiers, usage events) and use cookies/pixels/SDKs for analytics, performance, and—where permitted—interest‑based advertising. You can disable microphone and file access in your device settings. Some packs and prizes are 18+, with age and regional restrictions.

1) Scope & Relationship to Universal Policy

This Notice forms part of the Optifun — Universal Privacy Policy and governs DareTribe’s UGC, social features, and media access. Where a specific Promotion applies, its Official Rules take precedence for that Promotion.

2) Personal Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

  • Your communications with us: email, phone, mailing address (support, feedback, job applications).
  • Surveys: responses to research or product surveys.
  • Social media content: posts and messages on our official pages are considered public.
  • Third‑party accounts: You don’t need an Optifun account to play, but some features may require an account with a third‑party partner (e.g., platform login or payments). Those partners may collect your name, email, and payment info under their own privacy policies.
  • In‑app UGC and profile info: display name, avatar, messages, challenge submissions, reactions.

3) Information Collected Automatically or from Others

  • Automatic data: IP address, user settings, MAC address, cookie IDs, mobile carrier, mobile advertising IDs (IDFA/GAID), device/browser/OS details, approximate location, ISP, pages/screens viewed before/during/after, links clicked, and similar usage data. Data may be associated with accounts/devices as appropriate to functionality.
  • Gameplay & engagement metrics: sessions per day, content packs used, frequency/duration of activities.
  • From partners: app store events (installs, purchases, refunds), analytics/attribution, anti‑fraud, advertising partners.

4) Cookies, Pixel Tags, Analytics & Interest‑Based Advertising

Technologies We Use
  • Cookies & local storage: preferences, session state; blocking may impair functionality.

Categories of Use
  • Operationally necessary (security, fraud control, core features).
  • Performance related (analytics, load, crash reporting).
  • Functionality related (remembering preferences, sign‑in states).
  • Advertising/targeting related (frequency capping, measurement, relevance where allowed).

5) Device Permissions (Microphone, Photos/Videos)

Control Access to the Microphone

The app uses the device microphone to record audio (voice messages or clips) in rooms. This access enables players to communicate while playing. You may refuse or later revoke access via your device’s Settings → Privacy & Security. A recording indicator is displayed while the microphone is in use.

File Access Control (Photos/Videos)

The app may access files you explicitly choose to share (photos, videos) in chats or challenge submissions. You can deny or revoke access in device settings. DareTribe does not scan your entire library — only items you select are processed.
